Wing Chun Indonesia Journey to Foshan & Hong Kong 2015

Tradisional Ip Man Wing Chun (TIMWC) Indonesia organised a Wing Chun Journey to Foshan and Hong Kong on 2 – 8 March 2015. This journey had 20 participants from Indonesia, and 1 participant from Hong Kong. The activities on this journey are as follows:

Foshan:

  1. Visited Bruce Lee Ancestor’s House.
  2. Visited Bruce Lee Paradise Park, where lies the biggest Bruce Lee statue in the world.
  3. Visited Ip Man Tong and Wong Fei Hung Museum.
  4. Traveled and practice in Guang Zhou.

Hong Kong:

  1. Visited the grave of GGM Ip Man and GM Wong Shun Leung.
  2. Interview and performance for Russia TV documentary in front of Bruce Lee statue at Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong.
  3. Training of Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun System (WSLVT), and dinner with Sifu Wong Hong Chun, eldest son of GM Wong Shun Leung.
  4. Visited GM Siu Yuk Men in VTAA for VTAA permanent membership applications.
  5. Visited and shared experiences with Master Kwok Wan Ping from Sum Nung Wing Chun.
  6. Training with Sifu John Kaufman, alumni of GM Chu Shong Tin.
  7. Going places, shopped, and culinary travel in Hong Kong.

TIMWC Indonesia would like to thank all the sifus and the participants who have contributed in the success of this journey. This journey will become a yearly agenda of TIMWC Indonesia, in order to learn, share, and build relationships with all wing chun practitioners around the world.

We sincerely wish that this journey will enable the world wing chun practitioners to embrace the true Ip Man Wing Chun in Indonesia, and accordingly, recognise Indonesia as a country.
