Tradisional Ip Man Wing Chun (TIMWC) Indonesia is organising the first Wing Chun Tournament in Indonesia, which will be joined by sub-divisions and affiliation groups of TIMWC Indonesia. This year, the tournament will be held together with the National Training Camp 2015 at Trawas, East Java.
The tournament becomes highly important, as this will be the first wing chun tournament in Indonesia, and also as a venue to identify talented disciples to be selected to participate in the yearly international wing chun tournament held by Ving Tsun Athletic Association (VTAA), Hongkong. Due to this specific reason, the standard and conditions of Indonesia Wing Chun Tournament will be highly similar to that of VTAA International Match.
The 2015 tournament will only include Taolu/forms category, while Chi Sao/sticky hands category will be held in 2016. TIMWC Indonesia will also run a Chi Sao exhibition this year, in order to familiarise participants of the rules and standards of Chi Sao Tournament held by VTAA.
