Wing Chun Indonesia World Champion 2016

17th April 2016 is a historical day for Indonesia because on this date, Wing Chun Indonesia became the grand champion for World Wing Chun Match, “The 3rd Ving Tsun Ip Man Taolu (Forms) and Sticking Hands Match”, organised by Ving Tsun Athletic Association (VTAA) in Morse Park Sports Centre, Hongkong.

This achievement would not be fulfilled, hadn’t all participants, instructors, and family sacrificed all their time, energy, and financially support our determination to succeed in this World Wing Chun Match.

Indonesia received awards in almost every category on this year’s World Wing Chun Match:

CHAMPIONS:

1. Siu Lim Tao – Female Youth = Adeline Ellicia Susanto
2. Siu Lim Tao – Female Adult = Keren
3. Siu Lim Tao – Male Adult = Dwi Latif Hidayatulloh
4. Chum Kiu – Female Youth = Michelle Halim
5. Chum Kiu – Female Adult = Deviyana Leman
6. Chum Kiu – Male Adult = Destyan Adiwassesa
7. Biu Gee – Female Adult = Deviyana Leman
8. Mok Yan Jong – Male Adult = Budi Lim
9. Chisao – class 55-60kg = Kwe Joe Beng

This victory truly is important for Tradisional Ip Man (TIM) Wing Chun Indonesia, as it gives the opportunity for Indonesian Wing Chun athletes to represent their country and to achieve victory in the name of Indonesia. TIM Wing Chun Indonesia would like to thank the Ministry of Sports and Youth (KEMENPORA), and to Mr Imam Nahrawi, as the minister of KEMENPORA for giving us moral support prior to our departure to Hongkong. We would also like to thank Tradisional Ip Man (TIM) Wing Chun Malaysia officials who were present and supported us during the World Wing Chun Match. Lastly, we would like to thank all wing chun enthusiasts in Indonesia for the prayer and the support all these time.
