GM Ip Man Ancestor’s Day Ceremony 2017 is held on 9 April 2017. This ceremony is attended by GM Ip Man’s family, students, and Ip Man Wing Chun practitioners from Hong Kong and from other parts of the world. Part of the ceremony is to bring food, fruit, and flower to decorate GM Ip Man’s grave.
In this year ceremony, Tradisional Ip Man Wing Chun is represented by sifu Martin Kusuma, who are visiting Hong Kong for training purposes. It is an honour to be able to attend and pray to GM Ip Man during Ancestor’s Day Ceremony. Because in kungfu, not only we learn the practical skills, the philosophy, or the history, but we also learn the cultural aspect in being respectful towards the creator and the grandmaster of Wing Chun Ip Man.

This historic day is closed with annual dinner for family, direct students, and Ip Man Wing Chun practitioners from around the world. Again, it was an honour for Tradisional Ip Man Wing Chun to attend this dinner in Prince Edward, Hong Kong.
